Yesterday, the morning of the trial, Steve Sapp plead guilty. My uncle Steve's parents accepted a plea bargain. So, there was no trial and Steve Sapp only got 10 years in prison for murder. Not quite what I was hoping for. My fear is that Steve Sapp will get out of prison after the 10 years - and will find my aunt and make her pay for telling the authorities that he was responsible. All this would be easier to talk about if the victim and the murderer weren't both named Steve - I'm sure it gets confusing to others. Anyway, after being buried in the wrong plot and being dug back up - the headstone taking a year to come in - and his murderer only getting 10 years - I really hope that Steve can rest in peace.
