My wonderful friend Kara used to be a dental assistant and when she heard about my issues - she called and talked with the dentist she used to work for. They both agreed that my dentist should have filed my filling down - NOT my tooth. Now my enamel is gone on the tops of both teeth that he filed down - and they are rough. Atleast they are towards the back and it isn't anything noticeable to anyone else. But I am thinking I need to find a new dentist... Funny, I have two friends name Kara (one Cara and one Kara) and they both used to be dental assistants, lol...
If you've been following my blog, you'd know that a doctor started Dakota on an anti-anxiety medication. While he was on it I noticed a bit of a difference - we got him to sleep in his own bed for the first time in MONTHS. And another time while we were out to eat - there was a fly right next to him. He was uncomfortable, but he didn't freak out like he normally would. But, the day after we started the medication on him - he started getting really hyper. Not himself at all. And he wasn't listening very well either. Basically, for a lack of a better word, he was annoying!! We ended up stopping the medication and he's back to his normal self. He had another doctor appointment early this morning. Now we are trying something called Abilify. The doc said that it's usually not as effective as the Zoloft - but that could be a good thing. Just something to lessen his anxiety a little without (hopefully) the side effects. So, we will see!!
